The course lasted 10 days. This course was aimed at teachers and school staff from primary to lower secondary level, who want to improve their English language proficiency, and refresh their methodology. The course focused on combining lecture format and practical activities based on active learning in order to increase the acquisition of English as a foreign language. During the course, we were able to put into practice the acquired skills while getting to know the Spanish culture and the charms of Barcelona. Thanks to this cultural exchange, we expanded our knowledge with new methods of working with the students.
Intensive English Language Course for Teachers and School Staff
The English language course aimed to improve language skills tailored to the needs of educators. It lasted for 10 days and was held on-site, often combined with sightseeing in Split. Participants were divided into groups based on their language level. Language improvement was achieved through developing skills in speaking, writing, listening, and reading, expanding specialized vocabulary related to teaching, and learning idioms and colloquial language. The methods used included group and pair work, creating teaching materials, role-playing, and drama. An additional benefit was the opportunity to meet and build friendships with teachers from various European countries.
Outdoor Education – Sustainable Education Activities for Health and Environmental Awareness
Inspiring teachers from all over Europe, hands-on educational workshops, gaining knowledge surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, and exchanging experiences and ideas – this is how the „Outdoor Education – Sustainable Education Activities for Health and Environmental Awareness” course can be briefly summarized. The training took place from June 30 to July 6, 2024, on Sao Miguel Island (Azores, Portugal).
During the course, I had the opportunity to explore various strategies for making use of the school’s surroundings in the learning process and integrating outdoor activities with classroom education. The program included field workshops, expert meetings, and practical exercises, providing an innovative perspective on education.
The training was also a unique opportunity to enhance linguistic and cultural competencies through collaboration with teachers from 11 different countries. Working in an international environment allowed for the exchange of best practices and inspired the implementation of new teaching solutions.
Game Based Learning and Gamification
Participation in a 10-day course focused on innovative teaching methods, especially game-based learning, significantly enhanced the professional skills of the participants. Teachers gained knowledge about modern educational tools such as Kahoot!, Quizizz, Classcraft, and Duolingo for Schools, and learned how to implement them effectively in their daily teaching practice. Through experience exchange with teachers from 11 different countries, participants explored various gamification strategies and how to adapt them to their own educational environments. The course also contributed to the development of linguistic and intercultural competences, improving communication in an international context. Practical workshops and lesson simulations allowed teachers to experience the learner’s perspective in game-based education, increasing their pedagogical awareness. The acquired skills and knowledge are now being implemented into the regular work of the school, leading to greater student engagement and more effective teaching.

The Secret of Finnish & Estonian Education
The 10-day course in Finland was aimed at teachers and school staff who want to learn about modern and proven solutions used in the Finnish and Estonian education systems. The training combined lectures, workshops and observations of classes in schools, focusing on areas such as positive pedagogy, emotional support for students, independence-based learning and innovative use of technology in education. The course allowed us not only to acquire new skills, but also to exchange experiences with teachers from all over Europe. We had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the culture of Finland and Estonia, getting to know their lifestyle and approach to education. Thanks to this mobility, we gained new inspiration for working with students and specific knowledge, which we successfully implement in our school.
Classroom Management Solutions for Teachers: New Methodologies, Effective Motivation, Cooperation, and Evaluation Strategies. A Project Management System for a Better Quality of Teaching
The course lasted 10 days, during which we had the opportunity to exchange experiences with teachers from other countries and to learn new working methods. The training gave us a new perspective on teaching and energised us to make changes in our work with students. We learned how to plan and carry out a project well at school – from the idea to the organisation of the team to the evaluation. We practised using project management tools and discussed concrete examples. The course provided lots of ideas on how to better manage the classroom and build a good atmosphere in lessons. We learned specific strategies for dealing with difficult situations, how to motivate students and how to plan more interesting lessons. We also talked a lot about working with students with special needs. The programme also covered active learning methods such as the flipped classroom or project-based learning, as well as the use of digital tools in teaching. The course was held in an international setting, so it was possible to exchange experiences with teachers from other countries.
Artificial Intelligence for Education: Exploring the Frontiers of ICT
The course lasted 5 days and aimed to familiarize teachers with artificial intelligence tools in education. These tools serve to enhance lessons and accelerate the preparation process. We explored websites that allow us to prepare lesson plans, diverse materials at various teaching levels, and presentations. We applied our knowledge in practice by preparing a lesson segment using the tools we had learned about. Thanks to the exchange of experiences among teachers from different European countries, these sessions also had an interesting cultural aspect, as we learned about the educational systems in those countries.
Technology and media in education
The course lasted 5 days. Its aim was to familiarize teachers with websites, games and applications supporting education. We got to know tools to create mind maps, presentations, comics, QR code generators and applications of materials to prepare classes without using the Internet. We got to know games consolidating knowledge, teaching coding, creating maps by students. We tested all these tools and applications in practice by creating our own padlet with all the ideas for their use. Thanks to the exchange of experiences among teachers from different European countries, these sessions also had an interesting cultural aspect, as we learned about the educational systems in those countries.
